First we attended the daily reenactment of the driving of the Golden Spike ceremony at Promontory, Utah. This part satisfied my inner history buff and it was very touching to me to see the dedication of the volunteers who run the reenactment ceremony. She was given to me through a rather unusual set of tragic circumstances. The night was dark and the moon was new, so the only elements visible on this long exposure were the fire and the pentacle. The pentacle is drawn with a small LED flashlight.
